Nikiichi Tobita is a Japanese manga artist who a few of you may potentially recognize for penning a few series like Shinobi Gataki and Monster x Monster (or the joke manga called "How I Stalked Some Dude with an Exposed Nipple and Stumbled Upon the Zenithian Sword" of all things), and they're apparently a bit of a fighting game fan too.
More recently, Tobita began posting his colored sketches of the ladies of Street Fighter that uses his own personal style, which puts a bit more of an emphasis on realism compared to what we see in the games.
While aspects like Chun-Li's hands and muscles have been toned down to look a bit more "real", that doesn't mean the Mangaka still doesn't like to stylize and put his mark on works.
Characters' eyes appear to be Tobita's big signature with Cammy, Juri, Sakura and pretty much everyone else having deeply expressive eyes — and super big eyelashes. We also appreciate how the Mangaka is able to capture motion in a still image like Falke's uniform flipping up as she crouches or the way Ibuki's hair and scarf make it appear as though she just turned her head.
You can check out a small collection of Nikiichi Tobita's Street Fighter artwork below, and much more in general can be found on his Twitter page.
