When Street Fighter 6 was first announced, it didn't really come across as much of a surprise to hear that Ryu would be returning as a playable character. Still, it's very clear that Ryu has underwent a rather dramatic change since Street Fighter 5 and Street Fighter 3.
Although Ryu has typically been known as a fairly simple Shoto type character that utilizes a basic projectile, a basic anti-air and a basic forward advancing special, he's apparently developed a few new tricks in addition to the Joudan Sokutogeri (donkey kick special). YogaFlame24 has recently uploaded a video that gives us a look at Ryu's move listing in Street Fighter 6 (in Japanese).
Ryu's new special moves in Street Fighter 6 are the Hashogeki and the Denjin Charge. As seen in the video, the Hashogeki is performed with the quarter-circle backwards motion plus punch while the Denjin Charge is done by inputting down, down plus punch.
Of Ryu's special moves, the Denjin Charge is the only special attack that does not have an Overdrive (EX) variant. However, using the Denjin Charge will empower the properties of the next Hadoken or Hashogeki that is used.
It seems that Ryu has gained numerous command normals and target combos since Street Fighter 5. Though the iconic Shoto has seemingly done away with the Satsui no Hado, he seems to have picked up the hop kick from Evil Ryu. This is performed by inputting forward and heavy kick.
