Captain Falcon makes the jump from Super Smash Bros. to Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 in this Mod!

ree

The Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 modding scene exploded over the past year, and the community creations to bring new fighters onto the roster seems like it's only going to get crazier from here.

Modders Eternal Yoshi and Fewtch recently teamed up to try something a bit different by taking F-Zero's Captain Falcon out of Super Smash Bros. to put him up against the Avengers and world warriors of UMvC3.

Using Marvel 3's new model importing tool, they were able to take Captain Falcon's as he appeared in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and put him into the hyper fighter with the creators noting they did have to touch up his colors a bit to better fit the vibrant game.

While the modders did apparently work to give him some new normals, Captain Falcon here is a bit more of a pure palette swap compared to some of the other works we've seen lately, as he still uses many of Nova's attacks and voice lines, which may or may not get upgraded in the future.

That does unfortunately mean he doesn't have the signature Falcon Punch in his arsenal right now though he can have something similar if you use it over Iron Fist instead.

The majority of mods released since the model tool launched this month (and before) have largely focused around adding in Street Fighter characters like Rashid or previous Marvel heroes like Psylocke to keep the theme of MvC going, but this is a reminder that there's a near infinite amount of possibilities that could be crafted into fighters — should the modders wish to do so of course.
