Capcom confirms the return of R. Mika's Season 1 Passion Rope Throw for Street Fighter 5 Update!

Capcom confirmed that this is indeed the case. R. Mika's Passion Rope Throw will once more cause the opponent to bounce off the wall even while at mid screen.

In the brief preview, R. Mika is shown pulling off one of her standard combos against Zangief. The first part of the string ends with R. Mika performing the Passion Rope Throw backwards.

For Season 2 and onwards, this decision making would come across as being bizarre considering Zangief's positioning in the corner. However, forcing Zangief to rebound off the corner that's further away will give R. Mika enough time to charge her heavy kick.

Of course, not everyone is going to be happy with this adjustment, but this does mean that R. Mika is likely going to be more relevant in Street Fighter 5's Definitive Update.
